Lions Eye Foundation of Southern California Mission
Support Sight Conservation efforts and expand our efforts to prevent avoidable blindness through education and training.
Since 1963 the Lions Eye Foundation of Southern California, Inc. has sponsored in the eye needs of Southern California USA in the area of financial grants for cornea transplants, instruments for corneal protection and retrievable corneas; and the providing of a mobile glaucoma and visual acuity screening unit to reach the public in their own communities.

Lions Eye Foundation of Southern California Corporate Profile
The Lions Eye Foundation of Southern California, Inc. (LEFSC), was incorporated in 1963 in accordance with the laws of the State of California, and was granted and maintains a tax exempt status under Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3) as amended.
The Officers and Board of Directors of LEFSC are comprised of volunteer active general members from representative clubs in their communities, along with members who are specialists in the areas of Medicine, Optometric, and Legal Services.
In 1979 a subsidiary corporation, the Lions Eye Foundation Memorial Trust, was created for the purpose of receiving and managing an ever-increasing amount of funds from estates and other donations from the community at large and to provide financial support and stability to LEFSC on a long-term basis, freeing up LEFSC to concentrate on immediate needs and services to the community.
